While perusing the internet, I found these two photos of former Longhorn student-athletes who played a part in the History of Longhorn sports.

Happy Valentine to the Whitney Hedgepeth (swimmer) and family http://www.tsdhof.org/whitney-hedgepeth

Proud wearer of the “T-ring” Matt Trissel (football) with his Valentine.

For those not aware, there is a Longhorn website section celebrating former Longhorn student-athletes, managers, and trainers who possess some unique and significant Longhorn historical credentials.

The section is titled “T-Ring Reflections.” Nate Boyer’s story has been permanently added to this archival collection for football in the segment representing the first decade of the 21st century.

As an amateur Longhorn sports historian, telling Coach Weis’s stories on the Texas Legacy Sports Network website has been one of my most enjoyable experiences.

Coach Weis is to Longhorn golf what Royal is to Longhorn football. Billy Graham had Coach Weis in mind when he said, “a coach will influence more people in one year than an average person will do in a lifetime.”

If you would like to know more about Coach Weis’s life journey, please click on one or both of the following links. These two links are now permanently added to the history of Longhorn sports.

TLSN is building bridges to the past to remind all Longhorns that Coach Weis life work has shaped the present and inspired the future for the Longhorn Nation. HORNS UP!
