Hall of Honor inductee Charlie Munson has passed away.

Augie Garrido said that “life doesn’t give us what we pray for. It doesn’t give us what we wish for. It doesn’t give us anything other than opportunity, nothing more, nothing less, and that’s enough. In fact, it is a great gift.” 

Charlie is part of the greatest generation in the history of our country, and as such, he understood that opportunity is a gift, and he lived his life accordingly. Charlie’s life journey is now part of Longhorn sports history forever saved for future Longhorns to celebrate at the Top of the Que at https://texaslsn.org .

Before rings were the symbol of special events, charm bracelets were the symbol of choice. This is the charm for the 1949 national championship that Charlie received.
